My husband was reluctant to take dance lessons, to say the least, but after meeting Holly and completing our first two introductory lessons, he signed us up for five more lessons! When I asked him why he did that he replied, "It was actually a lot of fun!"
We are both so impressed with Holly's amazing teaching skills. Her confidence, enthusiasm, charming personality, and love for dancing are contagious. She's definitely the key to a great dance experience. We highly recommend The Threshing Floor to, literally, everyone!

My husband and I are a sixtyish couple who have never danced. So sad we waited so long.......
We were prompted to learn by the upcoming wedding of our oldest daughter. We just wanted to learn enough and to gain enough confidence to feel comfortable and enjoy our own daughters wedding reception....but how to do that was a big worry for me. I couldn't picture my husband at a dance lesson, and I am incredibly uncoordinated. To make matters worse, we both needed a lot more self-esteem than we had gained thus far in life. Making fools of ourselves on the dance floor at the wedding was a formidable thought.
God saw to it that we were directed to the right person at the right time. Another of our daughters is a reporter, who had interviewed Holly and recommended her to us. All I did was to make a phone call, after much persuasion to get my husband's consent. Holly made it so easy. She called me back within half and hour. I told her our dilemma, and she made it all happen.
It was an unexpected surprise to get the whole ballroom and Holly all to ourselves. She is a delight, having just the right combination of nurturing us to knowing when we needed to fly solo. Her encouragement and gift of teaching made our experience a total success.
We danced our feet off at the wedding. My husband made me very proud when he executed the much anticipated Father-Daughter dance with our daughter. Glenn and I danced the Rumba to Neil Young's Harvest Moon with no one else on the floor. We even danced to all of the silly fast dance stuff that kids do. Don't need dancing lessons to do that, but we did need the conficence to get out there. No way we would have otherwise. It all contributed so much to the success and mood of the reception.
We couldn't be more pleased, and we are going to take more lessons with our youngest daughter and her boyfriend. She and our daughter who just got married came along with us to a lesson each, and our youngest had so much fun and liked Holly so much that she wants to come back with her boyfriend and join us for the adventure.
